Dr. ir. Luiza Bonin
Luiza Bonin is a post-doctoral research fellow at CMET, as well as a voluntary scientific collaborator at The University of Mons. She is a Materials Engineer graduated from the Federal University of Santa Catarina - Brazil (2009 - 2014) with one-year graduation at the École Polytechnique (Paris- France) by Capes-BRAFITEC fellowship. During her PhD research, she developed new formulations of nontoxic electrochemical baths for metallic coatings. Her PhD was award by FRNS as the best PhD in Applied Chemistry for the 2018-2020 years. After her PhD, she has been working as a post-doctoral researcher at CMET in the general field of applied electrochemistry, metal/resource recovery and membrane electrolysis process. She is interested in low price, and long life electrodes and membranes for use in electrochemical processes. As well as resource-efficient Lithium extraction.
